Cyberbulling now a terrorist threat? -Alyssa Hamilton 3rd

The FBI is warning US citizens to be prepared for cyber attacks from Isis in response to America's military presence in the middle east. These attacks were contained in a bulletin from the FBI... "listed were four separate threats against the U.S. on social media by "hackers and hacktivists" over the last five months and noted that a British hacker known as Abu Hussain Al Britani, previously convicted of hacking the email account of former Prime Minister Tony Blair, had recently been identified in the British news media as being a Syria-based fighter for ISIS. It said cyberattacks could range from website defacement – likely containing “messages expressing support for ISIS and/or … imagery such as the black ISIS flag or graphic imagery, e.g. pictures or videos of ISIS executions” – to denial of service and database attacks"
While cyber hacking is a huge threat now-a-days with online banking, and profiling. The idea of just cyber attacks seems a little lax, comparatively to other attacks committed by Isis.

  1. This is yet another example of how social media has provided an additional means of communication that has led to terrible deeds. This is an increasingly difficult issue that our generation has to deal with because social media has such a vast range of pros and cons.
