Montana teacher -- initially given 31 days in rape of student -- now gets 10 years- Ausia Jones

In Billings, Montana a mother was just feet away from the man who pleaded guilty to raping her 14-year-old daughter. The rapist, Stacey Dean, initially received a sentence that required him to serve just 31 days in prison. The 55-year-old teacher, Rambold, pleaded guilty to raping a student in his business class in 2007 at Billings Senior High. The victim committed suicide in 2010, before the case went to trial and before she reached her 17th birthday. 7 years later justice is finally being served and he received 10 years in prison.

  1. That's insane that he only got sentenced to 31 days and not 10 years right away. -Avery Alexander

  2. I don't know why the fact its in Montana insinuates why the original sentence was only 31 days. The whole story makes me sad.

  3. It's insane that he only received a month initially... Despite the sorrows it's good to know that he got what he deserved now.
