Woman blamed for her own rape in Pennsylvania prison case

The victim, a 24-year-old typist, was working at Rockview State Prison when she was brutally raped by Omar Best, a convicted rapist who had been transferred to said prison after having assaulted a female employee at a different state prison.
"Despite this knowledge," the lawsuit alleges, Best was permitted "to have unsupervised access to the offices of female employees" at Rockview State Prison. Video presented at his trial showed that the victim was choked unconscious and raped for 27 minutes.
But the attorney general's filing suggested that the victim (who shall not be named)  “acted in a manner which in whole or in part contributed to the events which led to the damages plaintiff has alleged in her complaint."
-- This kind of blame on a victim is completely biased and uncalled for. When we look at incidents like this, its no wonder a lot of people can't fully put their trust police officers, etc.

  1. Yet another ridiculous case of a woman being blamed for her own rape. I don't see how so many people can see no wrong in this as it keeps happening.
