More Trouble in Ferguson By: Zaria Chambers 5th period

A police officer was shot in Ferguson, Missouri late Saturday evening. The police officer was shot in the arm and was rushed to the hospital but is not facing anything life threatening. The officer was on patrol duty at the time that he was shot. The officer saw someone suspicious hiding behind a building and when he tried to confront the male he began to run.  Many different police officers tried to help chase the suspect but unfortunately he was able to escape. Many police officers don't think that this shooting has anything to do with the shooting of Micheal Brown. The shooting wasn't even close to where the shooting in August occurred. Although there have been reports that many protesters have threatened to kill police officers that there is not doubt that this shooting had anything to do with that.

All of this violence in Ferguson has got to stop. Ever since Micheal Brown was shot in August many people in the area have gone crazy. There needs to be something done to try and cut back on the violence in the area. A highway patrol officer told a group of protesters,"All the hate's got to stop." Also I hope that police officers will be able to find the suspect that was involved in the shooting.

  1. As long as incidents like this keep happening, I have a feeling the tension isn't going to die down anytime soon.
