Supreme Court Won’t Hear Net Neutrality Challenges
AnalysisNet Neutrality was a bill passed by the Obama Administration that uses federal power to prevent internet companies from blocking or slowing down your internet usage for a higher price. This year, under the Trump administration, this bill was repealed. This means that internet companies can now start charging consumers more or added fees for certain content that they want to access online. On Monday, the Supreme Court has ruled that it will decline all possible changes to the repeal or the bill itself, meaning that there will not be any movement in this area of legislation for a while, or until the sitting justices are replaced or outvoted.
