Analysis: This article was uploaded November 26 by Amir Vera. I knew no prior knowledge of the event so there was an emphasis in shock when I discovered his passing on Thanksgiving. This particular scenario reminds of Ryen Aleman, Jacksonville shooting survivor, because they both had a little extra time to live before they passed. Mr. Smith had eight more days with his wife and family to spend time with them and watch a game in his hospital bed before he passed. Mr. Aleman had a little extra time before he passed away in a car accident. The article was not just written in regards of his family but also to include everyone and send a message for people to enjoy the company of others and make the most out of a situation. This article is a literal testimony on bravery and genuine concern. People should be less selfish and be caring toward others hopefully not resulting in death.
We keep talking about gun violence and how to get rid of it with everyday people but I think we should be talking about how the cops are using there guns. It doesn’t seem like they’re handling them very well because harmless people keep dying by their hand.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Aysha, most of the situations involving gun violence do involve the police carelessly firing at an innocent citizen because "they looked suspicious." In my opinion, police using their guns should be a last resort, but in most cases thats the first thing they do. -adriana chavez
ReplyDeleteI also agree with Aysha, i think that people are focusing on the wrong thing lately. We should be more fixated on how the cops use the tools they are given. I do hope people come to the realization that they aren't using it to the best of their abilities.
