This test is nothing like anything else in the field of medicine today, and its amazing that we can catch and treat this earlier than ever before. It works but doing a simple ultrasound on the patients neck, to examine the blood vessels that feed into the brain and the heart. The ultrasound screens for the intensity of the blood flow and the irregularity of it. Blood vessels that are more intense and have a more irregular blood flow are 50% more likely to develop dementia in coming years. This test could save the mental state of many people who could develop dementia and the family members of those patients as well.
