Camille Cole - The Manafort Scandal Deepens
Summary: The special counsel lead by Robert Mueller has come out with a new statement saying that Paul Manafort has violated his plea deal by lying to the investigation panel. Manafort has vehemently denied this saying that he believed everything that he said to them. This comes as a shock as this is one of the only substantial things that has been heard from the investigation. It also shows that the Mueller investigation had a way of fact checking the things that they were shown.
Analysis: This means a lot for current politics. It presents a setback that may show that we aren’t as close to a decision on the Russia probe, but it also shows that they are actively making progress. This means something as it shows that this investigation is so far more advanced than the investigations that have had to happen in the past with Nixon and Clinton as this is not a cut and dry case and is much more involved.

This is an interesting development in this case. This is one that has flown under the radar and is forgotten about from time to time, however it’s important to not undermine the far-rippling consequences this whole affair could have on the state of the nation.
