Mexican officials question use of force at the border- Kadar Price
Reality check on border clash from on the ground in Tijuana
The Foreign Ministry of Mexico has advised the U.S. to look into incidents at the Tijuana-San Diego border zone on Sunday November 25, 2018, that ended up having U.S. Border Patrol agents throwing tear gas at immigrants trying to cross the border with their families. On Monday, the Ministry requested an "exhaustive investigation" inside the use of non-deadly weapons via the U.S. towards Mexico in a peaceful fashion. The ministry says that basically, Mexico is obligated to protect the rights of the immigrants and that it was completely necessary to micro manage them, so that they could deal with the situation efficiently. On the other hand, the U.S. is standing by with their policy that says, if attacked or threatened, they can respond with force to defend themselves. The Border agents are saying that the immigrants were throwing rocks at them, forcing them to defend with tear gas.
Of course our commander in chief, Donald John Trump referred to the tear gas as "very safe", and he went on to insinuate that immigrants are "grabbing children" in order to increase their chances of coming to America. All of this talk involving the US of A and Mexico, reminds me of a time when U.S. president James K. Polk was fighting Mexico in order to obtain territory and expand the northwest.
