This article was published by New York Times and it is concerning the California wildfires and how it is hardest for the old people. The wildfires have been hard on everyone, but the old people have really felt the most change and difficulty. Many elderly people retire in the area of the wild fire and for their daily routines to be ruined really messed them up. Elderly who have dementia were screwed up by the chaotic atmosphere as well as elderly recovering from surgery or preparing for it. This connects to the treaty of tears when many people had to involuntarily evacuate their homes with little notice or time to pack, many old people did not make the cut.
