During the 2018 Midterm Elections Black women joined the race, some even holding positions on the House of Representatives. 1/3 of the women in House are Black women. This has never happened, black women are getting into positions of power that can inflict change upon America. My article was just reporting all of the women who were in the elections, and how women are taking over. I am so proud of this turnout because not only is it going to lead to more representation of women, but African American little girls now have sold models, people to look up to. They are beginning to the representation we have so desperately been needing. The black women that ran focused of fixing the health care systems, improving the schools, and fixing the problems faced in the black community. This relates to history, because not only were Jim Crow laws around less than 100 years ago, but everything was extremely segregated and this type of event would have never been something people back then could have expected. This also relates to Martin Luther King's I have a dream speech because this is in and was his dream come true. Thank you for reading.

It is a truly amazing thing to see as a young black girl successful women coming into money and power. Which will inevitably show the child that they can do anything they set their mind too.
ReplyDeleteI agree that it is a positive thing for this country to see so many women and specifically black women being represented in the government. I think that all people should be able to hold leadership positions and this shows that we are moving towards a more fair society.
ReplyDeleteI think it very satisfying thing to see that black women are getting the recognition that we deserve. I agree with you and the people above that also commented. I really like your analysis as well, i can tell you put alot of thought into it, well done.
