Democrats took control of the House of Representatives which is establishing a major barrier to Trump’s legislative agenda but the Republicans strengthened their majority in the Senate. So in the end the results were split. Many people have agreed that this has demonstrated that the world is very divided. Also many people are saying that they are ok with the outcomes because there is balance and they thinks that there will be high hopes for the future decisions on certain things.
This connects to how the people’s reaction the outcome of the election of 1800 and how Jefferson won. I feel like that is kinda different from now because now there is like a sort of balance while when Jefferson was elected president that was the end of the Federalists and the there was no balance. I think that the purpose of this article is to show the different reactions peoples have and the reasons why they have these feelings.

Democrats win the house! Yay!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that Democrats were able to win the house despite intense gerrymandering. I'm hoping they'll be able to put more checks on Trump and the Senate.
