Early Sunday on November 11, Jemel Roberson was working his shift at a Chicago bar as a security guard when an officer responded to shots he heard. He entered the scene and ended up shooting AND killing this innocent security guard who just happens to be a black man for simply doing his job (instead of the guy actually firing shots) AND minding his business. How many times are white people going to misjudge the actions of black people? This type of thing has been happening a lot recently as we've all been seeing in the news and this just happened to take a further step, killing this innocent man. Black men and women have been dealing with prejudice people for years as we've all seen the different hashtags and rallies that ultimately have done ABSOLUTELY nothing to further protect black lives. BLACK LIVES REALLY MATTER! LIKE WHEN ARE PEOPLE GOING TO REALIZE THAT! our influence on the culture is indisputable, and i'm just going to stop here. thanks for making it this far if you did.
I would like to know what kind of justice the officer will face. I have a feeling it won't be what he deserves :(
