California Wildfire Updates: Blazes Spread as Town is Searched for Bodies
In Paradise, California, and around that area, wildfires have spread through acres of land and have caused a tremendous amount of harm to many structures and the residents. This fire has killed at least 29 people and has destroyed around 6,453 homes. These records mark this inferno as the most destructive wildfire in history. The residents of this town have mostly evacuated and are now safe from harm, but there is no guarantee that their homes and their town will be protected. The “Camp Fire” that took place in Paradise is not the only wildfire concern of California, other fires such as the “Woosley Fire” west of Los Angeles and the “Hill fire”, located in Ventura County have been spreading and have put more than 95,000 acres of land under threat of being burned.
Many wildfires have taken place in California over the course of U.S. history, but none have proved to be this destructive this early on in the burning. This particular set of fires is similar to the Siege of 87’ flames that also took place in California, specifically the northern area. These fires are similar because they both grew at a rapid rate and have taken the lives of some, evacuations were also encouraged.
