Ellen Whitehead-Current Event

Almost one-fourth of blood banks in certain areas in Africa may contain Malaria parasites. 26 studies were done by UK scientists and showed levels of Plasmodium parasites that cause malaria. This causes a big chance of malaria towards blood donors. Malaria has traveled through blood pretty commonly in Africa because of this. This is very unfortunate to those in need if blood in Africa. Becuase sometimes blood is needed to survive, it is ironic that the blood given to patients can also kill them.
