A woman and her daughter suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning because of a malfunctioning keyless ignition system. She parked her Nissan car in her garage overnight and had no idea that the vehicle’s engine kept running throughout the night. Carbon monoxide dangerously spread throughout the entire house. Her and her daughter luckily made it to the hospital in time and survived. She is suing Nissan and warning others of this terrible danger.
This would be a very scary situation to be in. It reminds me of the gas chambers in the Holocaust in the sense that both groups were unaware of the gas that was about to come their way. People in the holocaust sometimes thought that they were getting a shower when really they were getting put in a gas chamber. This woman and her daughter slept inside their home without any thoughts of poisonous gas coming their way. The gas was totally unexpected and uncalled for.
Policies should be looked at as to how these cars are built and potential risks that could ensue.
