Fatima Gonzalez: North and South Korea meet

On Friday, North Korean Leader Kim Jong in and South Korean President Moon Jea-in met at the border of North and South Korea to negotiate a peace treaty. Both stepped on the opposite side of the country then, while both held hands, headed to North Korea to discuss a denuclearization talk. Everything seemed to go well.

I myself can't believe what is happening at the moment. Two countries that had pure hatred for decades finally decide to talk and cross each others borders even though no other Korean leader(s) of the ast have ever done that, its amazing! Although I'm still skeptical about the whole thing, its incredible to know that Kim is deciding to talk peace for once.

  1. This truly is history, these countries that so often threatened warfare if interacted with are now speaking to each other deliberately and peacefully-this truly is a feat in history.

  2. The whole fact that North and South Korea are is phenomenal this is history in the making. This is huge since the Korean War and since the 38th parallel was put up.

  3. Despite some skepticism, its good that some steps are being taken to end the Korean War, as long as progress is being made.

  4. It is great that these two countries are now communicating. They have been enemies for so long
