James Shaw Jr. Thanked for his 'heroic actions' in Waffle House shooting

A gunman opened fire on customers inside a Waffle House restaurant. James Shaw Jr. was able to take the weapon away from the gunman, after the two briefly wrestled on the ground. Reports say, “The shooting left four people dead and at least four others injured.” Travis Reinking, the suspected gunman, was arrested and is awaiting a mental health evaluation.

This article is centered around the idea of the dangers of gun violence. This article shows relevance today just as it did in the past, because it shows that there is still action needed to be taken in terms of the leniency that is allowed when it comes to the possession of guns.
