In wake of the revolutionary action of Kim Jong Un crossing into the denuclearized zone between North and South Korea to meet with the leader of South Korea, a summit is in talks between President Trump and Kim Jong Un at the same spot of the DMZ. This article references many historic moments that could occur, and all the photo ops! Many are afraid of Trump falling into appeasing Kim, but he asserts that he won't back down on issues and that denuclearization of the Korean peninsula is of the upmost importance.
This is a really good direction for the world to be heading as the tensions have been very high about this issue. Parallels can be drawn to many past events in US history, the Cuban Missile Crisis is an example of countries playing the imitation game with these types of weapons. This diffusion of tensions is also similar to Nixon's ideas of Detente, Nixon and Trump are following very similar paths in the Presidency.
