(MaKaria Harris) April 20 National School Walkout

On March 14th, thousands of students around the country participated in the first National School Walkout Day to call for gun control reform. Unlike the March walkouts, which were only scheduled to last for 17 minutes, protesters were encouraged to participate all day.Students’ gun control activism has begun to have an effect. In late February, several retailers, including Walmart, stopped selling guns or ammunition to customers under 21.

There still aren’t any national gun reform laws and is terrible that there aren’t so it needs to change now before it continues to get worse.
