On Monday April 23, 2018 in Toronto, Canada a white rental van plowed through a crowd of innocent pedestrians ultimately killing 10 and injuring 15. Toronto Police Officers received numerous calls at around 1:30 about a white rental van driving approximately half a mile to a mile on sidewalks, streets and curbs. The driver, Alek Minassian, had deliberately stopped after driving a mile onto curbs and colliding with people continuously-he willingly faced arrest and did not resist when cuffed and taken into police custody. Many question his mental state and whether or not this was deliberate-but facts so clearly point to the idea that it was. Witnesses say how he remained driving straight onto the curb with more pedestrians and never once faltered to remain on the concrete. This goes back to the numerous times people have drove through crowds of New York, London and Paris throughout the past few years.

This is concerning, because cars are just as dangerous, if not more, than any weapon or object. They can just as easily do more damage than anything else.
