Trump hates Earth Day! - Ellen Fritz

The Trump Administration is making the elimination of federal regulations a priority, and policies such as the Clean Air, Water, and Endangered Species Acts are in jeapordy. In the past, oil spills have led to more extensive federal regulation of coastline factories and attempts to prevent another spill. Now, the Trump Administration is reopening coastal waters for oil/gas drilling, and is reducing safety regulations on oil rigs.

I believe that environmental preservation is extremely important, but is obviously not a priority of lawmakers. I relate this to conservationist efforts during the New Deal/ FDR Era, and the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and Endangered species act pf the 70s.

  1. Keeping the environment safe and secure is a huge topic to consider, with out a working environment, we could wipe out our population. It's all like the butterfly effect.

  2. This is just crazy because he is our president and many people look up to him. The fact that he is abandoning these important federal regulations shows that he docent care if our beautiful country is polluted and made ugly.

  3. i'm very afraid that trump's actions will do irreversible damage to many areas of our country, including the environment. We should be moving forward towards progress, not backwards.

  4. I don’t understand how someone can be so hypocritical. You want to use the natural resources but you don’t want to take care of the earth that provides them? He is only backtracking and I hope someone stops him.
