Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting- adriana chavez

https://www.cnn.com/2018/10/27/us/jewish-hate-crimes-fbi/index.html

Summary:

This weekend, another mass shooting has occurred at a synagogue in the city of Pittsburgh. It is considered to be the deadliest attacks towards the jewish community in the history of the United States. The attack occurred during worship on a Sabbath morning and the shooter opened fire and killed 11 people.

Analysis:
This article was posted on the day the shooting had occurred and was continuously updated up until the next day. I had no prior knowledge to this event at all and it shocks and disgusts me how the hate crimes towards different people based on their beliefs are still occurring and keep getting worse. There are also no signs of improvement on gun control laws that i know of. I fear that as a nation, we are just letting history repeat itself for the worst.

  1. It is troubling that, even in the aftermath of the second world war, what egregious acts of human rights abuse were committed against the Jewish people, we continue to have people who look past the monstrosities and the millions of lives lost and continue the genocide.

  2. This is a incredibly terrible step backwards for America as a whole. I've researched a bit about this tragedy and one of the fallen was a surviver of the holocaust. No one should EVER have to face a movement filled with so much hatred TWICE.
