Pharrell Williams sends legal warning to trump- Paige Aleman

Pharrell Williams sent a legal warning to Donald Trump after his song, "Happy", was played at the presidents political event in Indiana, just hours after the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting. Williams's attorney Howard King wrote to Trump in the cease-and-desist letter wrote that " Pharrell Williams is the owner of the copyright in 'Happy', with the exclusive right to exploit same. Pharrell has not, and will not, grant you permission to publicly perform or otherwise broadcast or disseminate any of his music."

Trump's political event on Saturday in Indiana, just hours after the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting. For some reason Trump deemed it fitting to play the song 'Happy' after the mass murder of 11 people at the hands of a deranged 'nationalist'. I don't remember mass murder ever being a happy subject; this should be a time of mourning the lives of the people who just lost their lives to one of his (Trumps) 'followers'.

  2. Ugh! It feels like every current event I read on this blog makes me more and more angry about Trump. I am incredibly disappointed with the choices that he makes such as this and sometimes it makes me question whether or not he even thinks before he does this stuff.

    1. Every post you read on here makes you more angry about President Trump because he's being descirbed to you by indoctrinated leftists who think everything he does or says is idiotic, evil, racist, sexist, homphoobic, transphobic, xenophobic and/or bigoted. Also all of the articles they do their posts on are left-leaning, too.

    2. And why do all of you refer to him simply as "Trump?" I have not once seen or heard you all speak of "President Trump."

    3. Also, within five minutes of fact-checking and google searching you'd find that Pharell Williams' attorneys did send a cease-and-desist letter to the president, but Trump was not responsible for choosing the song to play. The organizers of the event, not him, were responsible. All of you calling him "insensitive" would also learn that he BEGAN HIS SPEECH by addressing the tragedy and condemning the shooter of the synagogue.

    1. Mr Trump was not the one playing the music. And yes, he was, as he started his speech off by addressing the incident.

  5. Pharrell did what he had to do. That's my homie. Trump is just so insensitive & I'm glad Pharrell spoke up about this.

  6. This definitely makes a statement to Trump and to the people of America. I am glad Pharrell acted on his beliefs and did what he thought was right. Playing a song with an upbeat tempo and happy lyrics was completely inappropriate at that time and place. Lily Philips

  7. This angers me, I feel like Trump should've known better than to play that song at such a bad time. I also feel that what Pharrell did was petty, but it doesn't bother me as much as Trump did.

  8. What trump did was absolutely disgusting but the way pharrell responded was a little odd.
