Faith Wangermann- Pittsburgh Shooter

In an article published by the New York Times on October 28, Trip Gabriel, Jack Healy, and Julie Turkewitz talk with former neighbors of the Pittsburgh Shooting suspect. According to these former neighbors, he was a quiet person who didn't seem to have many friends, and he didn't even show up in his senior yearbook. As his former friend from high school puts it, "he was pretty much a ghost". Online, he was very vocal about his hatred and ownership of guns. This article was written for people who have knowledge of the massacre in Pittsburgh and are interested in learning more about the type of person the suspect was. This article is similar to when details about the Parkland shooter's life came out, revealing he was a lonely but mentally disturbed person, who spoke about his intentions of violence.

  1. People need to be more aware about mental health issues and make it harder to get guns in the first place. If people focused on these two issues things like this wouldn’t happen.
