GRAYSON DECKER Mesquite cop shot unarmed man twice in the back

GRAYSON DECKER Mesquite cop shot unarmed man twice in the back

A former Mesquite police officer Derick Wiley shot an armed man all the way back in 2017 and a police expert testified Friday. The victim was 31 year old Lyndo Jones, who was seriously injured after the incident. According to dashboard camera, we see Jones as a suspect burglar who is asked to get out of his car, with officer Wiley pointing a gun at his truck. Jones testified that he didn't know officer Wiley was an officer because he did not turn on the red and blue lights. The investigation prosecutor Bryan Mitchel says there was no weapon in Jone's truck or in his hand, as well as the fact that Derick Wiley never identified himself as an officer.

Being a police man comes with choices that seem right at the time but the rest of society looks manslaughter. The fact is that we had no clue what its like for policemen like Wiley or what their perspective looks like.

  1. I don't think it's right to demonize cops, but a cop is in the position of power when he or she has stopped, which means there is no good excuse for them shooting someone who is unarmed. They need to be held accountable.
