Former white supremacist: The fear behind the hate- Alma Alvarado-Cabrera-

Arno Michaelis is a former leader of a white supremacist group in the late 1980's and early 1990s. When he saw images of Latino, Jewish ,Muslim and Asian children today , it made him ask himself why did he see them differently instead of just children. Fear was what made Arno feel this way. He was afraid of change and fear of losing . He often looks back at his so called twisted mind, and it led Arno from nationalism to where he is today : a place in which he embraces diversity, and the constant changes that creates it. At the end while taking closer looks at shootings ,discrimination and people suffering , Arno came to a realization that people that commit racial crimes were once innocent children , beautiful and full of potential . Then something goes horribly wrong . Compassion and forgiveness are essential weapons in the fight for a society where all children are treasured as the should be.  ''As human beings , we find what we look for in life. While it is much more difficult to exercise the will required to look for reasons to love, to have faith, to serve and to wonder than it is to give up and let fear make our decisions''.

This article was published by CNN news on October 28,2019 and written by : Arno Michaelis , expressing why he was a white supremacist and all the racial issues he's been observing . Racial issues that started from the beginning of building America (specifically in this article). This opened my eyes by noticing that some people really do want to change the way they see people and treat everyone equal no matter the race/religion ect .This article is written for white supremacist , since Arno is trying to persuade others to treat everyone with respect and love. The point that is trying to convey is to not be afraid of diversity or change, just because they don't look like you it doesn't mean that they're horrible people. In this cruel world that we live in now , this will help others treat everyone they come across with  equally .
