This article was written November 18th, 2016 regarding events that took place in Philadelphia in October years back that is still controversial. He writes this to aware american citizens, specifically parents, about events regarding child birth and the political threats to it.
Jodi and Scott Ferris were preparing to have their first child. The mother wants the have a natural birth at her home with a midwife helping out. The only problem was she went under labor prematurely and the midwife couldn't make it there on time. So the couple decided the best option was to go to the Hershey Medical Center. After she finished labor, the doctors wanted to vaccinate the baby for Hepatitis B. The Ferris' believed a natural child birth was better for them and their baby so they didn't allow the nurse and hospital to give their baby a shot. This angered the nurse and doctor and they claimed that it was an insult to their knowledge and authority despite it being the couples child. In response to this disagreement the hospital seized the baby and didn't allow the couple to have their newborn back until after a court hearing 48 hours later. Yes, the parents are rightfully suing.
Prior Knowledge: I didn't have any prior knowledge to this event before reading this article. I think it's absolutely absurd!!!! They did not have the right to take a child away from their parents not even 2 hours after labor. This totally goes against peoples natural rights as american citizens.
