refugee crisis - julie shilling p.4

More than half the nation's governors say they oppose letting Syrian refugees into their states, although the final say on this contentious immigration issue will fall to the federal government. States protesting the admission of refugees range from Alabama and Georgia, to Texas and Arizona, to Michigan and Illinois, to Maine and New Hampshire. Among these 31 states, all but one have Republican governors.

Issues with Muslim radicals terrorizing people dates back all the way from the 1800-1805 on the Barbary Coast. The announcements came after authorities revealed that at least one of the suspects  involved in the Paris terrorist attacks entered Europe among the current wave of Syrian refugees. He had falsely identified himself as a Syrian named Ahmad al Muhammad and was allowed to enter Greece in early October. The scary part is there is absolutely no way of us telling who is a radical /terrorist and who is not. This is exactly why Syrian refugees should not be allowed into the country, at time especially and in mass amounts. The Middle Eastern countries are the only ones that should be dealing with this issue of Syrian refugees. By doing this it puts all American lives at risk.

  1. That is true, a lot of the controversy comes from the result of the terrorism going on right now. Lia K 6
