Floods in Texas by Shara Jeyarajah p.8

Texas weather is always unpredictable. Floods and storms have ravaged Dallas. Tens of thousands of people have been left without electricity, and ice storms have been predicted. A few people have been swept away by floods unfortunately, resulting in fatality. One victim was on his way to work when his car was submerged. A few people were deemed missing. One child was found in flood waters, and a Texas deputy rescued the girl. There was an elderly woman, who she and her vehicle were swept away. Now, ice storms are looming over Oklahoma, and millions across the south were under threat of freezing rain and winter storm advisories. Parts of Texas and Oklahoma have several flash flood warnings.
I can't believe that this weather is upon us already, as we never had much of a summer to fall transition. I hope everyone stays safe!
Thus connects to apush,  because climate of course had always been an issue. It seems as if the extreme weather we've had this year matches the imagery of the flooding of Galveston in the 1900s, the biggest flood in recent U.S. History.

  2. The weather has been crazy lately! Over the Thanksgiving break, I saw countless roads being closed off because of flooding. I've also heard this winter is going to be more cold than usual.
