Mysterious Boats with Dead Bodies-Isabella Montague 5th period

Between October and November, there have been 11 or more cases of mysterious boats that have found their way to the coasts of Japan. On these boats, coast guards have found 20 dead bodies that were decaying and decomposing. Since the boats have writing on them that have been identified as Korean, some believe that these ships are from North Korea, and others have speculated that they are fishing ships.

This is a very interesting event, especially since multiple ships have shown up in a period of two months. I wonder how all of those people died and why their ships were left with no survivors. Fishing is just one use of boats, and it isn't necessarily considered the most dangerous thing to do on a boat. Boats are also used for military purposes, and if one controls the sea war, then they should be relatively successful in the overarching war. For instance, in the United States Civil War, one of the Union's advantages was that they controlled the sea with their powerful navy. This helped them with their eventual win, even when tensions arose with Britain.

  4. If it's Korean writing, guesses are its from North Korea. However I wonder if whoever did this(remember its not for sure who exactly did this) wants to achieve? (Alejandra Hernandez 6th period)
