Woman jailed for not returning 2005 video rental- Jordan Willis 2nd pd.

SUMMARY

27 year old Kayla Michelle Finley was arrested on Thursday in Pickens County, South Carolina on a charge of failure to return a VHS tape, of the movie "Monster-In-Law" starring Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda. She rented the movie from a video store, Dalton videos, which is now out of business. Finley went to the sheriffs department on another account when they issued a warrant for her arrest. The video store says they left multiple letters for Finley asking for the tape back, but she says she never received any letters and that she moved out of state due to her husbands job and simply forgot about the tape. Finley spent a night in jail and the judge released her on a $2,000 bond.

After reading this, remind me to always return library books! I hope Finley didn't intentionally fail to return the tape. I'm sure that after this experience, she'll always remember to return VHS tapes back to the video store.
