Airlines warned to beware of possible shoe bombs - Julian Randall 5th period

Summary: According to CNN, the United States government has warned the US citizens to beware of potential terrorists. More specifically, terrorists who may attempt to have bombs within their shoes which the intelligence sector of the country suggests is a new way for terrorists to get through successfully. This new process developed by the terrorist is the shoe bomb design. But although this is something that airlines should definitely be looking out for, it was heightened by the government as perhaps something that is more than what it really may be, as displayed in other similar situations. Ultimately, all airlines should be on the lookout for this new method of terrorism.

Analysis: This article was posted by Erek Perez and Jim Sciutto on Febrary 19, 2013 at 9:54 pm. Although I may have some indirectly relative knowledge of this type of situation, the extent in which I can assess this one in particular is rather limited. I know that terrorists have tried to succeed through the use of other products, methods, etc. and that some have gotten away, leading in the result of some of the traumatic events we have had to pass in the future. This previous knowledge ultimately helps me to understand the nature of the article better. Overall, it sends both a positive and negative vibe the audience, which would be all citizens, but more importantly those in contact with airlines on a daily basis. Although the extent of the idea may have been prolonged and exaggerated, I believe as long as the government is trying to ensure safety for the country, its a good thing.
