Murder suspect's bombshell claims raise questions

Francis Scarcella interviewed a woman who was accused along with her husband, of luring a man with a Craigslist ad then murdering him. Miranda Barbour stated that she hadn't killed once or twice but in fact she lost count after 22 times. She said the killings occurred over the last six years in Alaska, Texas, North Carolina, and California. Of course, this mind blowing statement sent police rushing through missing persons records in each state, struggling to find a clue that might link the people to Barbour.

Although Barbour claims she is a serial killer, her statement is raising skepticism from people who are trained to identify them. Northeastern University criminologist Jack Levin says that few women are serial killers, are usually older (Barbour is 22), and don't use knives like she is accused to have done in the Craigslist murder. She even states she is involved in Satanism, officers still remain skeptical.

Do you think Barbour and her husband are trying to be a part of a cult, or do you believe the claims that they make about murder?

  1. This story is very spooky and makes me wonder what the woman may be hiding by claiming and admitting to murders. very spooky.
