"4-year-old Syrian refugee found alone in desert" - Devin Lewis

"4-year-old Syrian refugee found alone in desert"

On this past Sunday, February 16, humanitarian workers for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees spotted a 4-year-old Syrian refugee alone in the middle of the desert. The boy was fleeing a troubled Syria in hopes of a new life in Jordan with his family. Found with only a plastic bag and clothes on his back, the child was separated from his mother. Luckily with help from the United Nations, the boy was reunited with his mother. This site isn't usually since more than a million child refugees to flee Syria since the three-year-old conflict began.  It is true that a picture can tell more than a thousand words. I love this story as well as the outcome.

  2. How do you lose a child in the middle of nowhere?! Oh well, it's still really nice to know he's back with his mother!

  3. This kid is a champ! and a good example of how bad the world can be for developing children.

  4. Oh wow I'm glad that kid found his mom, but his overall situation is unfortunate, being a young refugee and all. But it's still sweet that they're together again.
