Identical quadruplets suprise mom expecting triplets- Jordan Willis 2nd pd.
SUMMARY
Kimberly and her husband Craig Fugate were surprised when Kelsey; their four daughter was born along with their triplets, Kenleigh, Kristen, and Kayleigh. "They had gotten three out and they said 'More feet'" the mother told CNN "I said 'No!' It was an instant shock." the odds of quadruplets are 1 in 729,000, but the odds in this case were even slimmer because the Fugate girls are identical. the last set of identical quadruplets were born in Germany 2012, there are about 50 to 60 sets in the world. The fourth baby kept her existence a secret until Fugate went into labor at 28 weeks, when prematurely born, doctors tell families to expect them to stay in the hospital until original due date, unless they become strong enough to go home early.

ReplyDeleteWoah! I'm sure the both the doctors and parents were in unbelievable shock when the discovered the fourth child. God bless the babies and I hope they fully develop soon.
Although this type of birth is rare, i feel bad for the premature babies as the first month or so of premature development can be very painful according to doctors.
