Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez can't afford rent in Washington DC, and until she's is officially in office, she says she'll be squirreling away and hoping to make it. Apparently this a common problem, with as many as 40 or 50 congress-people snoozing in their offices through the years.
This is an example of real, true individual government officials. In history we glorify what everyone did and it's more difficult to relate to when we put them on such a high pedestal. However, when we see them in such forms as this, not being able to afford what we see as basics, or falling to such problems as slavery and other things, (falling into the system, if you will.) We find that they are much smaller than we personify them to be.
