Mars simulation crew 'return to Earth' after 365 days in isolation

Summary: After a year of isolation in a Mars simulation located at the top of a Hawaiian volcano (chosen for its altitude), the six scientists of the crew finally emerged. During the past 365 days the group had only come out a few times to perform simulations of Mars surface walks. This project was organized to test out the likeliness of future colonization of Mars. After the success of this mission the University of Hawaii is now recruiting new volunteers for their planned longer-term simulations in the future.

Analysis: The Pilgrims arrived in North America knowing very little about the new land they were about to inhabit. I'm sure they would have loved to have had a test run where potential settlers got to have a taste of what American life would be like so they could work out all the kinks before they got there. Maybe then there wouldn't have been so many disastrous consequences. Mars is truly the "New World" of this age of technological advancement.
