Summary:  The FBI has issued a warning to state election officials to increase their cyber security after two foreign cyber attacks stole up to 200,000 voter information. The FBI sent out a "flash" alert on August 18th stating that they were investigating into two cyber attacks from 8 foreign I.P addresses, and the FBI is now sharing this information with the public. The affected states were Arizona and Illinois. The FBI said that this attack may have a connection to the Democratic National Convention hacks. The FBI has requested that election state officials take steps to secure their election databases to prevent further damage.

Analysis: Now that we are in this "age of information", the influx of cyber attacks for vital data is grand. People from other countries are always hungry for U.S secrets, which can be seen throughout the course of our country. Many spies from either side of the civil war were hungry for juicy secrets of the others vulnerability, or the communist spies from Russia and China during the cold war,or the other countless spies and thiefs that lurk among us now, very similar to today's attacks. Of course i'm assuming that this is an attack from some foreign government and not some bored mega hacker nerd that somehow hacked into a government database, even though we don't know the source or motives of these hackers. This breach of information is quite terrifying from the perspective of an American, we don't want our personal information to somehow be used against us. We all need to be more protective of our personal information, and seeing that our government is vulnerable to these attacks should shed light of how this "Age of Information" is still years from being perfected. So be safe online, you never know who is interested in your tasty data.
