Abolishing Death Penalty -Destiny Ramirez

The newest US state to abolish the death penalty is Nebraska, which happened after a veto-override was passed through legislature. Even though this state has not executed anyone since 1997, they now join the ranks of 18 other states throughout the United States. Other states have also abolished the death penalty, but some are bringing it back due to the high crimes.

This traditionally conservative state is now setting a tone for more states to follow, with abolishing the death penalty. I don't think that the death penalty should be penalty for anyone.  This is the first of many conservative states to ban capital punishment. In the near future, we may see other states follow in their same footsteps.
