Pearl Harbor memorial closed after accident - Jack VanGorden 4th per.

Following an accident, the USS Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii is being closed temporarily to visitors. It is expected to reopen sometime after June 4. According to the National Park Service, a dock near a sunken battleship was damaged when tugboats were assisting the USNS Mercy. While they were moving the ship, "a small area of concrete was damaged". They released a statement saying that the monument is currently not safe for visitors. Military.com reported that the ship is currently under navy inspection because they want to confirm that no serious damage has been done.

I was shocked to hear the news that the memorial had been damaged, but it seems that officials are taking  care of it. Hopefully they can figure out what they did wrong so that an accident like this one won't ever happen again.
