More than anything this “article” was a rhetorical essay arguing for the right to bear arms or the second argument and incriminating liberals, so this argument has an enemy. Most of the argument is created through the use of hypotheticals and rhetorical questions. The author is constantly hyperbolizing the importance of this right to understating it to convince liberals it is not that bad.
The article was certainly intended for a conservative audience. As liberals are made the enemy of this argument, they would of course disagree with the exaggerated implications and accusations. It is also important to keep in mind the author is christian, because he uses “the creator” and “god-given rights” to strengthen his argument for conservatives.
