Government poisoning people again? What's new? ----Faith Cleaver P4

Dugway proving ground, a U.S army facility in Utah, somehow managed to ship anthrax through fed-ex. Anthrax is an infection that affects the skin and lungs. People believe that anthrax can be weaponized somehow so research is being done to find a way to protect the public. However, someone messed up and sent these infectious spores to about 19 labs in the U.S. This all began in 2014 and the CDC is now investigating how this could have happened. “The best I can tell, it was not human error,” Odierno told reporters. So pretty much, no one knows how anthrax got out.
Livespores were also sent to a lab in South Korea. While this lab was actually expecting the samples, they weren't expecting them to be live. Inert spores were supposed to be used for training purposes. Those exposed to anthrax were treated quickly and officials believe that it has been contained. The CDC states that there is no threat to the public of any type of outbreak.

  1. This is still very scary. It's like those movies where some infectious thing kills 99.9% of the population. Anyway, I wonder if there was a certain intention to send them incorrectly, or if it was truly a mistake. Either way, what can we do to change this?
