The Inconvenient Truth on Escaping Poverty- Lauren Kuehmeier, Period 2

This article focuses on the harsh reality of how much those must work in order to escape poverty. Fifty hours is shocking enough by itself, but especially when we compare that number of hours to the hours required for other countries it becomes really frightening. Though we are considered a country where you can go from dirt poor to having it all, the odds seem to be stacked against the impoverished.  Protests are becoming more and more necessary for those living in this harsh reality.
Those opposed would be the businesses paying their employee this scarce minimum way. Those pro would include those earning so little for themselves and their families.
