Texas floods: Enough rain to cover entire state with 8 inches of water in May

The massive amounts of rain that Texas has received in May of this year, is not the end of this stormy season. Overall, 22 people have died because of it, so in responce Barack Obama has declared a major disaster in Texas. Just in the Houston suburb of Rosenberg, police have evacuated people from 20 homes. The torrential rains have set the record for the wettest month according to Texas A&M climatologists.  Overall, 37.3 gallons of water have fallen over Texas this past month of May. Sunny days are expected to arrive this next week.
Our situation right now is the complete opposite in the 1920s when the dust bowl took place. Areas of Texas such as the Panhandle were receiving no signs of rain resulting in a major drought. Many people died because of it such as people have died due to the massive amounts of rain.
