Penn State Fraternity Banned for 3 Years by Yasmine B (5th pd)

Kappa Delta Rho, one of the fraternities at Penn State University, has been banned from operating until May of 2018. They have been banned for three years because of extreme cases of hazing, consistent drug use, and harassment of other members. Penn State started investigating the fraternity after there were several reports of a private Facebook page containing various pictures of completely naked women (some were unconscious in the pictures) and other pornographic materials. This Facebook page also contained images of the fraternity brothers hazing incoming members which was the last straw for the university. As of now, the former members still live in the house because it is privately owned, but they cannot be an official fraternity for at least another three years.
Incidents like these are always awful to hear because there is no excuse for what these students did. I am honestly surprised that the more involved members were not expelled from the school but I guess this is just a prime example of politics at play.

  3. It's terrible that such a reputable school has this counter culture occurring on it's campus.
