"Death Row" Brett Akop

A woman in Indianapolis had pleaded guilty to a murder decades ago and served 27 years in prison. However, after a successful appeal, she was released from prison and escaped from the death row. She was only 17, the youngest convicted murder in Indiana. Just this past weekend, she was found with a self inflicted gunshot to the head.

Capital punishment has long been a controversial topic in American history. I think that the woman may have had some kind of mental illness, or another story as to why she would shoot herself. Capital punishment can go very wrongly if authorities are not careful with their information.
