Paul vows to return to Capitol Hill on Sunday to block bill, end NSA spying

Rand Paul, the Kentucky GOP senator, is planning on blocking the efforts to renew the National Security Agency along with other anti-terrorist and surveillance programs. Paul stated that, "I will force the expiration of the NSA illegal spy program."  11 surveillance laws will expire on Monday. The USA freedom act passed by the House was three votes short of the required 60 that was needed to proceed in the Senate. If the Freedom Act becomes part of our law, then business records and thr roving wiretap authority would come back.  Also, the NSA would continue collecting American telephone records.
Due to the acts of terrorism brought about towards our country, many laws and acts have been created to ensure the American people safety.  Events such as 9/11 caused a great threat towards America because it showed that Americans safety was weak, and other countries had the ability to harm American people.
