Rush Hour Road Rage- by Rachel Devine (6th)

Yesterday, it was reported that a woman driving on the highway in Houston was shot on her drive to work. The man who did it was in a white SUV and had been angered by the woman honking at him; he started taunting her and then just pulled up to the right side of her vehicle and shot her in the back of the head. The woman somehow managed to move her car onto the shoulder of the highway and called 911. She is currently in the hospital and in critical condition, with "fragments of the bullet still in her brain."
This horrible article caught my eye because I, still being a relatively new driver, worry about ridiculous situations like that all the time while driving, and it happened. Relating this to APUSH, I'm sure that when Henry Ford invented the Model T car and assembly line (both of which made it easy for everyone to afford cars), he didn't think that driving in cars would turn out to be so dangerous.

  1. I heard about this on the news. It's horrible that the woman had to go through this. I hope they find who did it and discover their motivation for doing so.
