Eight workers who were exposed to Ebola arrived in the United States on Monday to be monitored. On began to develop symptoms on Sunday and is now in confinement. There are four hospitals that the workers can be placed if tested positive for Ebola or symptoms start to appear. Emory, NIH, and Nebraska are the three that these workers are being watched near. They are all (except the one with symptoms) being kept in housing next to the hospitals just in case.

This was written by Elizabeth Cohen for CNN on Monday, March 16th. It is natural for us to fear epidemics such as this Ebola outbreak, because of our history with the spread of disease when we first began to develop colonies in America. However, these hospitals seem to have to situation under control. The workers were all closely looked at when they arrived home and have been under protection ever since. With all the advances we have made in health and medicine, doctors and nurses are well equipped to fight this sickness.

  1. At least they were able to get the care and medication they need, and if they need it. A lot of those out there who are contracting Ebola don't have that kind of access and that plays a real part in just how disastrous an outbreak can be.
